The Gambia’s Victim Center, representing survivors of abuses during former President Yahya Jammeh’s regime, has voiced concerns over ongoing challenges.
This follows a visit by the Select Committee on Human and Constitutional Rights, during which victims highlighted their struggles while acknowledging the efforts of Parliament in implementing the Reparations Bill.
The bill, aimed at offering reparations to victims, has been widely welcomed, but many stress the need for further support to address their immediate and long-term needs.
