In The Gambia, authorities and development partners have wrapped up a high-level roundtable focused on evaluating the living conditions and livelihood prospects of refugees in the country. The meeting, held Tuesday, was organized by the Gambia Food and Nutrition Association alongside the National Commission for Refugees and the UN Refugee Agency.
Government representatives, humanitarian actors, and partners reviewed the findings of a new socio-economic and livelihood assessment, which highlights the challenges refugees face and the support systems needed to improve their well-being.
The forum marks a renewed push to strengthen protection, expand livelihood opportunities, and ensure better integration for refugee communities living across The Gambia.
