The Gambia has inaugurated its first Chinese Visa Service Center in Banjul, marking a new milestone in diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations.
The center, officially launched on October 8, allows Gambians with ordinary passports to apply directly for Chinese visas without traveling abroad — a move expected to ease travel procedures and enhance people-to-people exchanges.
Officials say the new facility underscores China’s growing engagement in The Gambia, paving the way for deeper cooperation in trade, education, and tourism.
