The Gambian judiciary has taken a significant step toward reforming the country’s civil justice system with a high-level judicial training held in Banjul.
Judges from the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court participated in the session on Wednesday, January 28, focusing on newly drafted civil procedure rules.
The reforms are aimed at modernising court processes, improving efficiency, and reducing longstanding case backlogs within the justice system.
Judicial authorities say the initiative marks a critical phase in strengthening access to justice and building a more responsive and effective civil justice framework in The Gambia.
