The Gambian government has denounced a group calling itself Justice for All, accusing it of inciting violence and disrupting public transport operations through social media.
Authorities say members of the group recently mounted roadblocks at the country’s border to protest alleged harassment and extortion faced by Gambian passenger car drivers in neighboring West African states.
However, the Ministry of Transport has clarified that Justice for All is neither a registered transport union nor recognized by any official stakeholder.
Speaking to WADR, Omar Ceesay, president of the General Transport Union of The Gambia, offered insights into the tensions and called for calm amid ongoing cross-border transport concerns.
