The freeze of USAID funding under the Trump administration has raised concerns in Gambia. The Special Adviser to the Ministry of Justice recently warned that this decision could significantly disrupt the country’s transitional justice efforts, particularly the implementation of recommendations made by the Truth, Reconciliation, and Reparations Commission (TRRC).
