ECOWAS Commission President Dr. Omar Alieu Touray has commended Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embaló for their commitment to regional cooperation.

Speaking after their attendance at The Gambia’s 60th Independence Day celebration in Banjul, Dr. Touray highlighted their efforts in strengthening ties within the West African bloc.

He also acknowledged The Gambia’s historical role in ECOWAS’ formation and called for sustained collaboration among member states to enhance regional stability and development.
