The Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG) has intercepted over 120,000 ecstasy pills worth more than $700,000 at Banjul International Airport.
Officials described the seizure as one of the largest ever in the country’s fight against drug trafficking. The operation was carried out by DLEAG operatives stationed at the airport, acting on intelligence reports.
Authorities have launched further investigations to dismantle the network behind the illicit trade and ensure those responsible face justice.
