A group of students from the Catering Department of University of Education of the Gambia is currently on a study tour in Dakar, Senegal, aimed at expanding their professional and cultural exposure.
The tour is led by an educationist Dr. Philipian Idogho a Nigerian technical aid staff attached to the institution.
On the team were other academic staff from the Gambia University of Education.
Dyring their visit to West Africa Democracy Radio, students got a firsthand look at how media contributes to civic education and regional integration.
Here are some students describing the tour as eye-opening, saying the experience has broadened their understanding not only of food and hospitality, but also their found inspiration.
