More than 100,000 people have been affected by severe flooding across Niger as of August 28, 2025.
The figures were revealed at the end of a meeting by the National Committee for Flood Prevention and Management (CNPGI), which convened on Thursday, August 28.
The session, the third for the year, was chaired by Colonel-Major Salissou Mahaman Salissou, Minister of Equipment and Infrastructure and First Vice-President of the CNPGI.
Authorities have yet to outline a comprehensive response plan, but calls for urgent relief measures continue to grow amid rising humanitarian concerns.
