In Burkina Faso’s central Sahel region, a fire has destroyed more than one hundred tons of cotton plants.

The incident occurred on Sunday in Doussi Village, within the commune of Bagassi in the Bankui region.

The disaster has caused significant losses for about eighty Burkinabe producers who depend on cotton production for their livelihoods.
