A new political movement, the Front for the Defense of Democracy and the Republic (FDR), has officially launched in Senegal. The alliance was unveiled on Sunday by prominent opposition figures, including Khalifa Sall, Anta Babacar Ngom, and Abdou Mbow.
The FDR aims to influence the upcoming November legislative elections and address ongoing political and judicial concerns in the country. This new coalition signals a shift in Senegal’s political landscape as it seeks to unite various factions under a common cause.
