Liberian authorities have evicted and demolished the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) headquarters in Monrovia, citing safety concerns and court orders.

The August 22 operation followed months of legal disputes over the property, with police enforcing a directive from the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court.

The move has drawn sharp criticism from CDC members and raised concerns over political freedoms ahead of key national elections.
