The 2025 Forum on Seasonal Forecasts for the Sudanian and Sahelian Zones of West Africa concluded on April 25 in Bamako the Malian capital.
The event was organized by the Regional Climate Center for West Africa and the Sahel in collaboration with the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, the World Meteorological Organization and the River Basin Organizations of West Africa and the Sahel.
The objectives included discussing the forthcoming rainy season, impact assessment and consequences, risk management and the mitigation and adaptation measures best suited for heavy rainfall.
This edition is thus, on the Sahel region’s preparedness for the 2025 rainy season.
