This week, our focus is on the promotion of Inclusive and Modern Agriculture in Countries within West Africa.
Agriculture is known for being the leading growth factor for Africa, particularly the West African Sub-region because of the fragility of its environment.
However, there is growing consensus that the positive prospects of Africa’s agriculture sector could be realized more inclusively by assisting smallholder farmers, to be better associated with commercial farmers.
The use of modern equipment, engineered seeds to modify various crops and environmentally friendly chemicals for farming, are cardinal factors to consider for inclusive and modern agriculture in West Africa.
