A week-long conference on youth unemployment has opened in Monrovia, Liberia, under the auspices of the ECOWAS Parliament. The dialogue brings together lawmakers, policy experts, and stakeholders from across West Africa to examine investment strategies that can reduce high unemployment rates in the region.
The event is part of the activities of the Sixth Legislature’s Joint Committee on Administration, Finance, Macroeconomic Policy, Research, and Public Accounts.
Participants are expected to propose practical, region-wide solutions to drive job creation and address the economic and social challenges tied to youth unemployment.
