With Côte d’Ivoire’s presidential election set for October 25, an ECOWAS pre-election mission is in Abidjan to engage key stakeholders for a peaceful and transparent vote.
On Tuesday, the delegation met with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), including its president Coulibaly Kuibiert and top officials.
The head of the mission, Professor Théodore Holo, emphasized that their objective was to gather information and assess the country’s electoral readiness.
The visit is part of ECOWAS’ broader efforts to support democratic processes and stability across the region.
