A high-power delegation of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) headed by its President, Dr Omar Alieu Touray is calling for calm in Liberia amid heightening political tension between the main opposition Congress for Democratic Change and the new government.
In recent days, the opposition supporters and state security operatives have been engaged in clashes which have resulted in the arrest of 14 opposition figures and injuries to many.
