Côte d’Ivoire is under regional focus as ECOWAS launched its pre-electoral information mission on Monday, ahead of the October 2025 presidential vote.
The delegation, led by former Benin Constitutional Court President Professor Théodore Holo, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of its first engagements.
The mission aims to gather insights and meet key stakeholders to assess the electoral environment.
However, concerns linger over its potential impact, with analysts noting President Alassane Ouattara’s past resistance to perceived external political interference.
