On March 8, 2025, as it it’s done annually, the world came together to celebrate International Women’s Day, a global event that honors the achievements and contributions of women across all spheres of life.
This year, the campaign is marked by two prominent themes: “Accelerate Action” and “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment”.
The “Accelerate Action” theme emphasizes the urgent need to swiftly address the systemic barriers and biases that hinder gender equality, as it is projected that, at the current pace, achieving full gender parity will take until 2158.
