Demo-creatives, an initiative designed to harness creatives’ unique talents and influence – musicians, poets, actors, playwrights, and artists to promote and advocate for democratic principles and good governance practices in West Africa and across the continent- launched on Friday, 21 June.
According to the West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS), through a series of targeted workshops, collaborative campaigns, public forums, and concerts, the project seeks to engage the creative community in the promotion of democracy and good governance- civic participation, transparency, and accountability.
Speaking at the launch DJ Switch a musician, producer, and human rights advocate officially launched the Demo-creatives Initiative, and also gave a message on the importance of arts in democracy and good governance.
