Let’s shift our focus to the Sahel, where millions of people continue to face mounting humanitarian crises driven by conflict, insurgency, natural disasters, and the growing impacts of climate change.
Responding to these overlapping challenges requires more than emergency aid; it demands long-term resilience and coordinated action.
In this outdoor conversation, we will be speaking with key players from the donor community and multilateral organisations to advance Humanitarian Action and Resilience in the Sahel.
At the heart of the discussions is how to build stronger, more resilient communities capable of withstanding the pressures of conflict, instability, and food insecurity.
Joining us are His Excellency the Swiss Ambassador to Senegal, Cabo Verde, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mali and Mauritania, Mr Pietro Mona.
We also have WFP Senior Programme Advisor, Head of Resilience, Mr. Volli Carucci. On the panel is His Excellency Marcel Lebleu, Canada’s new Ambassador to Senegal and Jonas Tylewski, First Secretary, Political section, German Embassy here in Senegal.
