In the celebration of World Radio Day, we turn our focus to this year’s theme, which highlights the continued relevance of radio in a fast-changing world, especially as new technologies reshape how we create and consume information.
This year’s theme is Radio and Artificial Intelligence.
Radio has remained resilient through generations, adapting from analogue to digital, from traditional studios to multimedia platforms, while still maintaining its core strength: credibility, accessibility, and the human connection.
To help us unpack what this theme means for broadcasters, audiences, and the future of journalism, we are joined by two seasoned broadcast journalists who bring years of experience behind the microphone and deep insight into the evolution of this powerful medium.
Mmatsheko Mosito, a versatile producer and presenter with Channel Afrika South Africa and one of Nigeria’s finest female voices, Rose Akai.
