Agents of the Ivorian Radiodiffusion Television (RTI) have announced a 72-hour strike. Dissatisfied with a number of things, including unfair labor practice, the strike is under the cover of the National Union of Agents of Public and Parapublic Information Sectors (Syninfo).
According to the notice submitted, the strike will take place from Monday July 8 to Wednesday July 10, 2024. This first movement is announced as a warning, as Syninfo is ready to renew the strike if nothing is done to satisfy its demands.
At the moment, the Ivorian Government remains on the sideline of this planned strike.
Recall during his traditional press conference of the Council of Ministers, the government spokesperson was questioned on the subject. In response to journalists, Amadou Coulibaly indicated that the State will not interfere in the management of RTI, which is a company with managers.
According to him, the government trusts the people it has appointed to manage this company and will intervene when they have expressed their inability to resolve the problems posed by the agents.
