The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of Cote D’Ivoire has reiterated its readiness to conduct transparent and inclusive elections scheduled for October 25, 2025.
The announcement came Tuesday at the close of the candidacy submission period, which saw President Alassane Ouattara formally enter the race for a fourth term.
Ouattara, accompanied by senior government officials and party supporters, submitted his nomination form to IEC President Ibrahime Kuibiert-Coulibaly.
Next, the IEC will publish the official list of qualified candidates as required by electoral law.
