Côte d’Ivoire has increased the farm-gate price for cashew nuts to 425 CFA Francs per kilogram for the 2025 season, up from 275 CFA Francs in the previous season—a significant 150 Francs increase.
Minister of Agriculture, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, announced the price hike during the Cotton and Cashew Producers’ Day, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving farmer livelihoods.
The decision has been celebrated by cashew producers, who anticipate better returns on their harvests this year.
