In Côte d’Ivoire, several officials of the opposition PPA-CI were summoned on Monday by the public prosecutor and the police chief in Abidjan.
The development comes just days before the party’s planned demonstration on Saturday in the capital.
Recently, the prosecutor had warned that he could arrest a number of opposition leaders who are currently out on bail, raising concerns of political tension ahead of the rally.
