In Côte d’Ivoire, health authorities have shut down 153 illegal health facilities across several regions, including Gbêkê, Loh Djiboua, Bélier, San-Pedro, and Nawa.
The closures are part of the “Zero Illegal Clinics by 2025” campaign, spearheaded by the Directorate of Private Health Facilities and Health Professions (DEPP). The initiative seeks to eliminate unregistered clinics operating without oversight, which pose serious risks to patient safety.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to ensuring stricter compliance with healthcare regulations to protect citizens and uphold the country’s medical standards.
