ECOWAS Chairman and Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio wrapped up a 24-hour visit to Côte d’Ivoire on Monday, as part of a regional tour.

He was received in Abidjan by President Alassane Ouattara, following earlier stops in Togo and Ghana.

Talks focused on the political situation in West Africa, including developments in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, all members of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
