A major social milestone has been reached in Côte d’Ivoire, as lawmakers have adopted a bill introducing an annual bonus for retirees.

Under the new measure, all retirees, whether from the public or private sector, will receive a significant yearly bonus.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening social protection and improving the welfare of former workers.
