After the eviction operation of the population of Adjame village, who saw their homes and businesses destroyed a few days ago, documents had circulated on social networks reporting compensation of 4 billion FCFA (about 6.6 million dollars) that would have been paid to the village chiefdom; information that the village leaders automatically rejected.

The director of AGEROUTE, the country’s road management agency, Fabrice Coulibaly, yesterday Monday, issued a denial during a local television broadcast.

Etsey Atisu has the rest of the details.
