Women make up over 50% of Africa’s population, yet their representation in leadership and decision-making remains disproportionately low. According to UN Women (2024), women hold only 26.5% of parliamentary seats globally and less than 20% of ministerial positions in Africa. In the corporate world, less than 5% of CEOs in Africa are women, while cultural and structural barriers continue to silence women’s voices.
