China has committed to providing 22 billion CFA francs (about $37.18 million) to the country without any conditions.
This funding was announced during the Sino-African Cooperation Forum held last week in Beijing.
In an interview on national television, the transitional president, Colonel Assimi Goïta, indicated that part of these funds will be allocated to the victims of the recent floods that have struck the country.
