A new Prime Minister has been appointed by the Chadian President Mahamat Deby Itno to supervise state affairs.
Allah Maye Halina was named the PM hours after the constitutional council inaugurated Itno as head of state for the fifth republic.
Halina is a well-known figure who has served the country in different capacities under the immediate past administration and that of former president Idriss Deby Itno.
