The town of Koro in central Mali is now home to thousands of Burkinabe refugees.

They fled intensified attacks by armed groups in Burkina Faso’s border regions.

Around 1,800 people are currently sheltering in Koro, according to local sources.

Authorities say humanitarian conditions remain fragile despite ongoing support efforts.
