The Burkinabe Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo held a meeting with Clara Ana De Sousa, the World Bank Division Director for the country.
During the meeting, De Sousa emphasized the World Bank’s readiness to assist Burkina Faso in providing necessary support in alignment with Ouagadou’s priorities.
She stated that the teams from the Bretton Wood institution are actively engaged in supporting ongoing initiatives, especially in light of the socio-economic and security challenges.
Currently, the World Bank is involved in several strategic projects in Burkina Faso including education, health, agriculture, and youth employment.
The World Bank Country director emphasised that these sectors are crucial for addressing the fundamental needs of the population and fostering robust human capital.
