The town of Titao in northern Burkina Faso has been hit by a major terrorist attack, marking the first assault of such scale since extremist violence erupted in the country in 2015.
Widespread reports indicate that at least ten people have been killed in the attack. However, there has been no official confirmation from the Burkinabe authorities regarding the death toll.
The incident underscores the persistent security challenges facing Burkina Faso, particularly in the northern regions, where armed groups have continued to target communities despite ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
