Burkina Faso’s transitional government has dissolved the Professional Association of Independent Qnet Representatives nationwide. The decision was announced Thursday through a decree issued during the Council of Ministers meeting.
Authorities explained that the dissolution was carried out under Article 80 of the Law on Freedom of Association, adopted on July 17, 2025. This law permits the dissolution of associations involved in illicit activities or operating outside their declared objectives.
The government stressed that Qnet’s operations were inconsistent with its stated mission and declared that the association is no longer authorized to function within Burkina Faso.
