A significant feature of modern society is the presence and manifestation of modernization concepts in the Indigenous or native community, characterized by the interchange of ideas, clashes of culture and the spread of materialistic values.
Historians therefore reported that Africans had expressed fear, deep fear that their identity and indigenous cultural values would be lost should they embrace modernization.
