Benin’s President Patrice Talon has addressed local and international media two weeks after the attempted military coup in the country.
At a press conference held on Thursday, the president spoke extensively on the failed coup attempt and recent security developments.
Talon also discussed the new constitution adopted last November, which he officially promulgated on Wednesday.
He said the government remains committed to stability, constitutional order, and safeguarding democratic institutions.
