Benin’s presidential movement candidate for the 2026 elections, Romuald Wadagni, has begun political engagements following his recent nomination by President Patrice Talon.
On Monday, Wadagni held his first official meeting with senior members of the Republican Bloc at the party’s headquarters in Cotonou.
Currently serving as Minister of Economy and Finance, he is working to rally support within the ruling coalition and expand his political base nationwide.
His outreach efforts mark the start of a critical campaign season as Benin prepares for the April 2026 presidential election.
