Benin’s defense forces have announced the killing of several terrorists during a double offensive carried out on June 24 and 28 in the country’s northern region. The operation took place in the “Point Triple” area of Alibori department, near the borders with Burkina Faso and Niger.
The coordinated assault was part of Operation Mirador, a national military effort to curb rising extremist threats in the Sahel-adjacent zone. Authorities say the mission successfully disrupted terrorist movements and safeguarded local communities.
Security officials confirmed they remain on high alert and committed to defending every inch of national territory.
This marks another major step in Benin’s ongoing strategy to contain terrorist incursions and secure its northern frontier.
