Benin has been selected by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) to host the 2025 Economic and Trade Mission of La Francophonie (MECF) in Cotonou.

Scheduled for June 2025, this milestone event will be the first of its kind in West Africa, focusing on fostering economic and commercial exchanges among French-speaking nations.

The decision highlights Benin’s growing prominence in the region and its commitment to advancing intra-Francophonie trade and economic collaboration.

This forum is expected to bring together government officials, business leaders, and economic stakeholders to explore investment opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and promote sustainable economic growth within Francophone countries.
