Benin’s High Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (HCPC) has launched a nationwide campaign urging citizens to reject vote selling ahead of upcoming elections.
The initiative, themed “Selling your vote is selling your future,” aims to curb electoral corruption and strengthen democratic integrity across the country.
Running from November 10 to December 13, 2025, the campaign will engage administrative authorities, civil society leaders, women’s groups, artisans, youth associations, and schools.
The HCPC says the effort is designed to educate voters on the long-term consequences of electoral fraud and promote a culture of accountability in Benin’s political process.
