In northwestern Nigeria, a deadly ambush by armed bandits in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State has claimed the lives of several Mobile Police officers and local security operatives.
Thursday’s attack is the latest in a wave of violent assaults targeting security forces and rural communities across the region.
Authorities have since deployed reinforcements to the area and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, as tensions remain high among local residents.
