Avian flu outbreak detected on three farms in Togo

Health authorities in Togo have confirmed an outbreak of the H5N1 avian flu virus on three livestock farms near Lomé.

The affected farms are in Adjengré (Sotouboua prefecture), Anyron Kopé (Vo prefecture), and a traditional breeding farm in Tchaoudjo prefecture.

Officials have launched containment measures to prevent further spread of the virus.
