The African Union is set to host the second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from September 8 to 10, 2025.
Held under the theme “Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing for Africa’s Resilient and Green Development”, the summit will focus on Africa-led climate solutions and unlocking climate finance.
With 45 heads of state, investors, civil society, and youth expected to participate, the gathering aims to strengthen Africa’s climate leadership and rally support for sustainable development.
Ahead of the event, UN Secretary-General António Guterres underscored the need for climate justice and reform of global financial systems to ensure developing nations have a stronger voice.
