At least 12 Togolese soldiers have been killed in a terrorist attack near the border with Burkina Faso. The attack which took place on Saturday, July 20 targeted the advanced operational post of Kpinkankandi, a town in northern Togo.
Reports indicate that armed individuals on motorcycles and vehicles launched the attack, overwhelming the Togolese forces.
