The Beninese military has responded to a report by the Timbuktu Institute, which warns of a growing terrorist threat in northern Benin.

The report, titled “Terrorism in Northern Benin: Avoiding a Security Crisis in Banikoara,” highlights worsening security conditions in the region.

However, the army insists that the situation is under control, dismissing concerns of an imminent crisis.
