Experts are warning of a possible overtaking of Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire as leading producers of cocoa in the world.
It comes amidst challenges being faced by the farmers of the cash crop in the two countries. In Ghana, illegal mining popularly known as galamsey and swollen shoot disease are key drivers of the decline in production.
